The spot is beautiful and invites you to stay for a while. However, there are an incredible number of tourists, who often crowd the pier and the surrounding area. With a little patience and persistence, you can still capture a beautiful image.

Photography Tips

Since many people want to access the pier (CHF 5 per person) to take photos, it is difficult to find a quiet moment to enjoy the atmosphere. That’s why I took a 180-second long exposure, allowing the people on the pier to almost completely disappear. It’s definitely worth bringing plenty of patience when visiting this spot.

Travel Information

It can get very crowded. At times, access to Iseltwald by car is restricted. A fee of five Swiss francs is charged to access the pier, and waiting times should also be expected.
