Tanzania Baboon monkeys at Lodoare gate, Ngorongoro

At the Logodare Gate is a 100% chance to spot Baboons. They are always around the gate and try to find food or interesting things from humans.

Always have your tele-zoom lens ready with a higher shutter for moving animals. With long focal lengths, the aperture may also increase at the maximum focal length, depending on the lens. Therefore, I would check the native ISO for the camera beforehand. Often there are two. Use the higher ISO for more artificial brightness so that you can set the shutter faster. The loss of quality should be minimal.

Always take an eye on the monkeys. Sometimes they steal personal things.

Book your game drive in advance. In most of the lodges the game drives are included. Would prefer to book a package with a provider.

If you book a lodge after the gate on the rime (there are several) you have some potential chance to spot monkeys in the forest areas.
