Tanzania Makutani Palace Ruins

This place is an old stone ruins on the island of Kilwa Kisiwani. Very beautiful to visit, especially if you're into architecture and historical sites.

Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities. Make sure to not disturb locals and not fly over their homes.

You need first to go to from Dar es Salaam to the mainland port town of Kilwa Masoko, and from there, you take a short boat ride across the channel to the island ruins. You can also go on a cruise across Tanzania and this can be one of the stops.

Once you've reached the port, you need to walk to cross the village and get to the ruins.
