Tanzania Little Meru, View on Mt. Meru
At 3,820 metres, Little Meru is a smaller peak on the slopes of Mount Meru. Its summit rewards hikers with sweeping views into Meru’s dramatic crater, the surrounding landscape and, on clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro.

The hike starts at Saddle Hut (3,570 m) and takes around 1–2 hours return. It is often done as an acclimatisation walk during the Mount Meru trek, particularly for sunset views.
Generally, this is a very restricted area to hike in and you need to get permits upfront to access the whole hike up to Mount Meru.
