Ruined stone corridor on Gemiler Island near Fethiye, Turkey, part of the remains of an early Byzantine settlement traditionally associated with St. Nicholas. The narrow passage, built from ancient masonry and weathered by centuries of sun and sea winds, leads through the ruins of historic churches and monastic structures overlooking the Mediterranean coast.
