Turkey (Türkiye) Assos antic ruins

Assos is an ancient Greek city and archaeological site located near the modern village of Behramkale in Çanakkale Province, northwestern Türkiye, overlooking the Aegean Sea. Founded during the early first millennium BC, it became an important center of philosophy, trade, and culture, and is particularly known for its well-preserved Temple of Athena, dramatic hilltop setting, fortified walls, ancient theater, and panoramic coastal views.
