Bredon Hill is a hill in Worcestershire, south-west of Evesham. The summit of the hill is in the parish of Kemerton, and it extends over parts of eight other parishes.

At the summit of the hill, there are the remains of earthworks from an Iron Age hill fort known as Kemerton Camp, which is believed to have been abandoned in the 1st century A.D. after a considerable battle.

There are also Roman earthworks and a number of ancient standing stones on the hill.

The hill is a wildlife haven with skylarks, deer and hares commonplace in the early morning.

Photography Tips

There is a stand of fir trees in a field near the Tower to photograph (see photos) and a lone tree on a path. From the tower you can see across the valley to the Malvern hills. On a cold clear day the valley can be shrouded in mist and the Malverns rise out of the mist.

Travel Information

There is no obvious car park. Depending on your approach to the ridge you can park in any nearby village and then walk up to the summit using one of the public footpaths which will take about 30-40 minutes.
