A camera with a standard or wide angle zoom will give a number of photo opportunities. The pier has a wooden floor which is ok for a tripod, but susceptible to vibration if other people are walking about nearby.

Travel Information

There is ample car parking near Whitby Abbey, then its a case of walking down 199 steps into the town harbour and out towards the pier. Allow about 20 to 30 minutes for walking from the car park.
