St Michael’s Mount is a tidal island off the coast of Cornwall, rich in legend and history. Once home to monks and later a medieval fortress, it rises dramatically from the sea with its castle and gardens. At low tide, you can walk the ancient stone causeway to reach it; at high tide, it becomes an island again. The view changes constantly with the light and water, making it a dream spot for photography and storytelling.

Photography Tips

Sunsets or Sunrise. Go at low tide to photograph the walkway, submerged if possible.

Thank you Paul. It came out well, despite the evening not being very dramatic. I hope to go back soon and shoot the walkway semi-submerged when the tide is lower.
