Travel Information
This is a mountainous region so dress accordingly. In wintertime make sure you have appropriate footwear and clothing. Be prepared for sudden weather changes.
The A5 road runs through Nant Ffrancon and the Ogwen Valley with parking spaces along the side of the road. These are all free but in summertime they fill up really fast as this is a popular spot with walkers and climbers. It's better to visit during the week rather than at weekends. There is a pay car park at Ogwen Lodge but once again this fills up very fast. Toilets are also availabale as well as a small snack bar.
