United Kingdom St Michaels Mount
St. Michael's Mount is located on a small island in the Atlantic Ocean off the coastal town of Marazion in Cornwall, England. At low tide, visitors can reach the island on foot via a narrow causeway. Like its more famous sister island, Mont Saint-Michel, off the coast of France's Normandy coast, St. Michael's Mount in Britain is a tourist attraction that attracts numerous visitors each year.
Photography Tips
For a stunning wide-angle shot of St Michael’s Mount, go to Marazion Beach during low tide at sunrise or sunset (golden hour). Use a wide-angle lens (16–35 mm) to capture the island, sky, and reflections in the wet sand. Get low to the ground to add depth and interest, and include the stone causeway as a leading line toward the castle. A tripod helps with long exposures if the light is low. Near the beach, there's a stone causeway where I took the photo. However, you can only access it during low tide.
