United Kingdom New Quay Beach, Pembrokeshire
New Quay beach is a quiet, sandy inlet on the side of St Govan's head. Rarely visited, it offers many photographic opportunities, including long exposure shots that take advantage of the reflections from the wet sand.
Photography Tips
For long exposure shots, make sure your tripod is well settled into the sand. The beach has a very gentle slope, and every tide covers the sand. Check the tide times to get the conditions you are looking for.
At very low spring tides, it is possible to walk around the end of the cliff on the left side of the bay, and onto the adjoining beach. Be very careful not to get cut off by the incoming tide.
