Photography Tips

Moving around the beach is difficult. It involves clambering over rocks and boulders. Near the water's edge, rocks may be slippery and covered with weed. Take your time, particularly if you have heavy kit. Siting a tripod can be tricky. Check tide times to get the desired conditions.

Travel Information

St Govan's Head is a short hike along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path from Broad Haven South car park, or the car park for St Govan's Chapel. This area of the coast is adjacent to a military firing range and may be closed to the public during the week. Firing times are published by the MOD. Search for "Castlemaine Firing Notice". The area is normally open at weekends.
