The small white lighthouse contrasts with the geometric tractor lines running through the green fields, making this a much more minimalist alternative to the classic coastal views of Dover.

Photography Tips

A medium or long telephoto lens is ideal to isolate the lighthouse and compress the rolling fields. Look for the tractor tracks: they provide strong leading lines and rhythm across an otherwise simple landscape. Overcast weather can actually work very well here, keeping the composition graphic and subdued.
