USA The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge
This refuge is located in southeast Georgia but borders northern Florida. It is an easy drive from Jacksonville, Florida. Okefenokee is an amazing swampland for both scenic and bird photography.
The young cypress trees seem to grow out of the water like oversized "warts". Spanish moss / Louisiana moss grows particularly abundantly around the observation tower.
Over 20,000 alligators are said to live in the park, as well as 30 species of snake, but also cougars and bears, very small lizards as well as turtles and dragonflies.

Photography Tips
I would hire a boat tour of the area.
Travel Information
A car is necessary to get here.
From the eastern entrance at Folkston, the only road in the entire swamp area, "Swamp Island Drive", leads 3.6 miles / 5.8 km along the edge of the swamp to a car park and back.
From the car park at the turning point of the road, a boardwalk leads 1.5 miles / 2.4 km (back and forth) through the swamp to a viewing tower. From the tower you have marvellous views over the water surfaces and swamp.
