Lake Trillium - the best view of mount hood. The view that everyone takes is actually fast the picnic area on the south end of the lake, facing the mountain.

I think Soph and I sat there for an hour waiting for the perfect light.

Photography Tips

Bring a tripod and get that beautiful sunset pic. Be sure to use a filter to help with the saturation and softness of the photo.

Take as many photos as you can - both at sunset and in blue light (shortly after sunset).

Travel Information

The Lake is around a hour and fifteen minute drive from Portland. However, as of when I went in April 2019, you cannot drive to the lake. You must walk a mile and a half from the parking spot. Be sure to bring a flash light, as the walk back to your car is a bit spooky.
