USA Sample Gates, Bloomington, IN
From Visit Bloomington:
The Sample Gates, located between Franklin Hall and Bryan Hall, serve as a welcoming entryway for students into Indiana's beautiful 1,860-acre campus. Edson Sample funded construction of the gates in 1987 and dedicated them to his parents, Louise Waite Sample and Kimsey Ownbey Sample Sr. The gates, constructed of Indiana limestone, mark the entrance to the Old Crescent, the site of IU's historic campus buildings built between 1884 and 1908.
