USA Jackson Lake, Colter Bay
A slightly different view of Mt Moran in the Grand Teton National Park
Photography Tips
Arrive early β the light moves fast here, and soft pastels often appear before the sun crests the horizon. Use a wide-angle lens (16β35mm) to incorporate the rocky shoreline and still water for reflection. A tripod is recommended for long exposures or bracketing, especially in low morning light. Watch for scattered clouds β they add color and balance to the scene.
Travel Information
Colter Bay is just off Highway 89/191 and has a large parking lot near the visitor center. From there, itβs a short, easy walk to the shoreline. The area is flat, open, and accessible, with plenty of room to explore different vantage points along the lake.
