After hiking through a beautiful valley, you will have to climb up towards Mount Storm King, but in the end, you'll get rewarded with this stunning view overlooking Lake Crescent. Bring some extra time as well as some food and drinks to hang out on top.

Photography Tips

Come here for sunset to catch some colors over Lake Crescent. I tried to create depth by using rocks in the foreground. I would also recommend bringing different lenses: Wide angle for a shot you can see, tele zoom to get closer to some surrounding trees for birds/fog in the valley.

Travel Information

Park your car at Marymere Falls Trail and follow the signs for Mount Storm King. The trail is easy to find and follow. After some rain, the trial can be quite slippery since it gets steep just before reaching the ridge. Make sure to check the weather forecast before starting the hike.
