This is a great spot, and hike, in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. Pick a good weather day to be able to see the mountain.

Photography Tips

Sunrise or sunset are good when the crowds thin; the site is very popular with the tourists. You may want to try your graduated filters here and either get the hyper focal length correct or focus stack.

Travel Information

Drive along Highway 504 to the Johnston Ridge Observatory and a large car park. The Harry's Ridge hike heads off the upper car park to the east.
