Classic sunrise view in winter- El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall. Another favorite spot away from others is the exposed granite slab North West from the parking lo, but be aware of the massive drop off - do scout your location in the daylight first.

Photography Tips

Arrive 30-45 min before sunrise to jockey for a spot to setup. The clouds move fast so be ready with for your shot. Expect Half Dome summit to catch the first rays of sunlight
