One of the few places south of Jupiter Florida where you are able to have large coral rocks in your composition. This makes it one of my go-to spots for shooting portraits on the beach. A short walk down the beach will bring you to Deerfield Beach Pier. Another great spot.

Photography Tips

For portraits at this location, A CP filter is a plus to bring out the saturation in the sky. A 6 or 10 stop filter is great by the pier for softening the waves and sky. Don't forget to shoot your subject under the pier to add an interesting element with the pier supports.

Travel Information

There is plenty of parking here. Your best bet is to hop on Hillsboro Blvd and head east till you hit the ocean. I-95 from north or south has a Hillsboro exit.
