USA Yaquina Head Lighthouse

Oregon is famous for its lighthouse and this is one of the best. It is not to be confused with the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse which is in Newport itself and just west of the bridge.

Photography Tips

There are plenty of areas for composition. If you want a sunset you can use the new feature of this site to place yourself. Winter is best as in summer there is often a fog bank which hangs on the coast and blocks the sun.

Travel Information

It is just north of the town of Newport, Oregon and found well sign-posted off of Highway 101. It requires a $7 entry fee which is valid for three days. Plenty of parking is available.
