This is a nice picnic spot if you want to enjoy a nice lunch/dinner when you visit RMNP! It provides some great view of the deer mountain and other small mountains that are before the Rockies.

Photography Tips

A good spot for both panoramas and tight shots. If you are into birding, the trail around the lake provides some great opportunities for it as well.

Of course you need to have your own transport to get here and there are some limited parking spots and picnic spots as well.
