USA Monticello
This is Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. It is now managed as a museum.
Photography Tips
The house and gardens are open (but you must have a ticket). There are interesting views both inside the house and around the property. In the house there are many historical elements and insights into how Jefferson (and others of the age) lived. The property is not large, but big enough to occupy a few hours meandering through flower and vegetable gardens, and along pathways that weave through fields and woods.
Travel Information
You need to drive to the property. There is plenty of parking available, which is included in your ticket. The areas around Monticello are quite scenic, and if this happens to be on your itinerary and you are interested in rural photography you'd do well to investigate roads leading into Monticello and plan time for a few spontaneous stops for various field, horses and barn landscapes.
