USA Valentine Lake
This is a secluded small lake in a pine forest. It has tent / RV camping on one shore and a day-use area on the other side. There are some moderately maintained hiking trails in the area, including a connection to the 20+ mile Wild Azalea trail. Other parts of the 60 year old facility are somewhat to heavily overgrown.
Photography Tips
There's not too much in the way of foreground objects so you'll have to get a little creative. It's in Louisiana so bring mosquito repellent if the weather is anything but cold.
Travel Information
Parking is available and the roads are all-weather. There's a daytime-hours fuel stop / store in the small community of Gardner, just a few minutes away.
