In addition to the bizarre sandstone landscape, Big Horn Sheep are common in the area. These guys were among a half dozen others lounging high on the rocks.

Early morning and late afternoon are normally the best times to spot the Big Horns, however these guys were lounging high on the rocks along with a half dozen other sheep at around noon.
Travel Information
From the Valley of Fire Visitor Center, drive about two miles north on Mouse’s Tank Road and turn right on Fire Canyon Road. Drive 0.3 mile to the pullout on the right.
