USA Battery Point

Just off Crescent City on a tiny island in the Pacific stands the cute Battery Point Lighthouse. I was lucky, because the island is only just accessible on dry land. I was in for a surprise on the island: it was covered in large areas of pink-coloured, ground-covering flowers that are in full bloom in spring: A flower bed with lighthouse. Taking photos, the lighthouse become a minor matter. After enjoying the splendour of the flowers to the full, I had to return to the mainland. I was lucky again: the tide washed over the access to the island and I was the last to make it back without getting my feet wet.
