if you're in for some plenty of beautiful rock formation apply for a ticket (permit) for the South Coyote Buttes. Just like The Wave you'll need to apply for it in Kanab. Your chances of winning are much higher though. Not many stay for the second lottery which happens right 30min after the Wave Lottery.

go to the information centre in Kanab and get some maps and directions when you're there - they will tell you what way in is the best (north or south) and what the road conditions you'll find !!! well and when they say use a high clearence 4WD .... really do what they say !
