This spot next to the discovery Pier at Lake Michigan is just one example of where you can plan a nice full moonrise in Michigan. We chose the sailing boot as a good motive.

Photography Tips

Be ready with your camera settings and use the manual focus. Zoom in to the moon, watch through the viewer and get it as sharp as you can. Also I would recommend a tripod and a higher ISO than usual as the moon rises quickly.
