USA Brainerd Lake (Cranbury, New Jersey)
Brainerd Lake is the picturesque centerpiece of historic Cranbury, New Jersey. This 45-acre lake is formed by the Brainerd Dam on the Cranbury Brook. The most iconic shot—and the one pictured—is taken from the South Main Street bridge, looking east across the water.
The lake is flanked by Village Park on the north shore and beautifully preserved 18th and 19th-century homes on the south. During the winter, the town adds a festive touch by decorating the "Brainerd Lake" wrought-iron arch with a lit wreath and draping the railings with holiday greenery, making it a favorite for seasonal photography.

Photography Tips
Best Time to Visit:
Pre-sunrise is ideal. Looking east from the bridge.
Composition: Use the wrought-iron sign as a frame for the lake. A wide-angle lens (around 16-24mm) is best to capture the full span of the decorated railings and the sky.
Seasonality: While beautiful year-round for reflections, the Christmas decorations (shown in the photo) typically go up in late November and stay through December.
