USA Jackson Lake Dam
This spot is great for photographing Wood Ducks and White American Pelicans. The ducks dive deep under water to catch trout but when they surface the pelicans are there waiting to snatch the trout. It's an interesting thing to watch and photograph.
Photography Tips
Around this area are many great landscape images to be made for sure, but right at the spillway the wildlife photography is really fun in the early morning when tourists haven't disturbed the birds etc.
Travel Information
Once you park in the small picnic parking are, make your way down to the river and move to the west as close as you can to the dam. Across from that spot is where I made this picture.
