USA Vally of Fire Mouse Tank Road

Photography Tips
Best Light
Sunrise is particularly strong along Mouse Trap Road. Early light rakes across the sandstone, enhancing texture and casting long shadows that add depth and dimension. Sunset works well for west-facing formations.
Use the winding road as a natural leading line to guide the viewer into the frame.
A short telephoto (70–200mm) compresses the layers of rock and mountains beautifully.
A wide-angle (16–35mm) adds foreground drama if you incorporate rock textures close to the camera.
