USA Teddy Bear Fence
According to locals, the fence (an extension of a multi-functional underpass for water and wildlife) was not properly connected with the actual crossing area. In protest of the supposed “Wildlife Crossing”, folks have adorned the fence with stuffed teddy bears to mock its location. It started with tree stuffed bears up on the fence, just kind of in a peaceful protest type thing. The bears quickly gained attention from those in the know, but as its popularity grew, its message began to be lost. Now there are more than 100 bears along the fence.
It’s a surprising and amusing sight. A few other animals have also joined the bears.
