This isa beautiful location alone the shores of Lake Tahoe. About 3 miles south of Sand Harbor. Clothing is optional.

Photography Tips

Wide angle lens. Tripod if you want long exposures. Arrive after 10 am to get the vivid colors. During the summer the small parking lot fills up fast. I suggest to get the by 830, hike in and enjoy until the shadow on the shore clears.

Travel Information

Highway 28. The parking lot hold about 30 cars. The lot is located a few mile south of Sand Harbor.
Hike is 1 mile in with half of the hike fairly steep.
