This incredibly easy location to get to yields some amazing views of the towns of Dillon, Silverthorne, and Frisco, CO. with some impressive mountains as backdrop.

Photography Tips

Sunrise or sunset are best. Also try not to go when they are experiencing a drought. The reservoir's water level was very low.

Travel Information

There is a pull off from traveling eastbound on I-70. Look for it just after Frisco's 2nd exit. It's marked, "Scenic View." There are a number of parking spaces for semi-trucks as well as passenger cars. Keep in mind that if you get there before sunrise, there may be several cars already there with sleeping occupants.
