USA Lower Multnomah Falls
Multnomah Falls is the most popular of all the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. It is a gorgeous double waterfall of which the higher one plunges 165 m with a bridge in the foreground.
Photography Tips
Arrive early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and bring a sturdy tripod with a polarizer. The best shots are taken on overcast days with light showers. Protect your camera with a shower cap and carry a cloth to wipe the lens, as mist from the waterfall can blow everywhere.
Travel Information
Take highway 84 east from Portland and then turn onto Historic Columbia River Highway. You will see the signs for the Multnomah Falls. Park lot across the road. The waterfall is less than a quarter mile from the parking lot.
