Vietnam Ro Pagoda bull racing festival
- Ro Pagoda Bull Racing is one of the most vibrant and unique traditional cultural-sports festivals of the Khmer ethnic minority in the Seven Mountains (Bảy Núi) region of An Giang, usually held annually during the Sene Dolta festival (around August or September in the lunar-solar calendar).
- The event features intense and thrilling races where pairs of oxen dash across a flooded muddy rice field, splashing water high into the air. It is an absolute paradise for photographers looking to capture high-speed action, vibrant local culture, and powerful emotional moments.

Photography Tips
Best Gear: A fast telephoto lens (e.g., 70-200mm) to freeze high-speed action and capture close-ups of the oxen and jockeys' expressions, combined with a wide-angle lens for environmental shots of the cheering crowd and flooded track.
Camera Settings: Use a fast shutter speed (1/1000s or higher) to freeze the flying mud and water splashes.
Positioning: Arrive early to secure a good spot along the muddy banks, and watch out for splashing mud!
