Stretching along the coast of Thang Binh District, Binh Minh Beach hosts one of the most serene yet vibrant early-morning fish markets in Central Vietnam. Before dawn breaks, as the sky transforms into vivid gradients of fiery orange, deep pink, and indigo twilight, offshore fishing boats with twinkling lights align along the horizon. On the sandy shore, local fisherwomen wearing traditional conical hats stand beside rowed basket boats (thúng chai), carrying shoulder poles and baskets ready to collect the morning's fresh harvest. The natural framing created by the curved rims of coracle boats, paired with striking backlit silhouettes against the colorful dawn sky, turns Binh Minh Beach into an incredible canvas for travel, documentary, and fine-art silhouette photography

Photography Tips

Best Time: Early twilight to blue hour (4:15 AM – 5:30 AM). Arrive before sunrise to capture the glowing orange horizon, lit fishing boats at sea, and high-contrast silhouettes on the sand.
Best Gear: A fast prime lens (35mm or 50mm f/1.4 - f/1.8) on a full-frame camera body to handhold shots in low twilight light while maintaining clean, low-noise image quality.
Composition: Shoot low between two basket boats to create a natural foreground frame around a fisherwoman's silhouette. Expose for the bright dawn sky to turn figures and carrying poles into sharp, graphic silhouettes.
