David Jo Bradley is an Australian Photographer, currently based in Amsterdam.

With a strong documentary style, my commercial work focuses on Portraiture and Travel. This broad scope allows me to work with a wide range of clients across Europe and Australia.

Combining photography with my passion for adventure, I have completed several international projects, each focussing on the intersection between culture and environment.

Key themes informing my personal work revolve around capitalism and environment, and how these factors influence the world at large.

This approach to Documentary Photography allows me to travel to far-flung corners of the world, including China, the Sahara, Madagascar, Mongolia, Russia and India.

In 2012 and 2013 I visited the Northwest of Western Australia to document human impact on the Cape Range bioregion, which includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park and the Cape Range National Park.

Between 2011 and 2015 I repeatedly travelled to China, documenting the impact of a rapidly transitioning country on its landscapes and people.

Since then, my focus has been on developing economies of the Sub-Continent, with specific attention to India.

In recognition of my contribution to investigating human relationships with the Earth, I've been awarded an Australian Post Graduate Award and an ECU Research Excellence Award. Both of these awards allowed me to continue my PhD research into northwest Australian and Chinese culture and landscape.

I've lectured in Photomedia at Edith Cowan and Curtin Universities, and sat as Board Member (Creative) with the Perth Centre for Photography. My work has been exhibited in numerous shows in Australia and overseas.

Since 2016 I've lived and worked out of Amsterdam.
