Portal Point is a small landing site on the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, once used as a British refuge hut location during early expeditions. Today, it’s a popular stop for expedition cruises, offering easy shore access, gentle snow slopes, and scenic views over Charlotte Bay.

Photography Tips

When somebody hiking in the far distance, make use out of this and take a photo with a rather longer lens due to showing scale in that landscape. One of the hardest tasks to do.

Travel Information

This is considered a rather easy landing site due to its mostly calm waters, shallow access and easy gentle walk on snow hills.
