The northern of two routes from Ruta Nacional 40 to the Cave of the Hands crosses the Cañadón Caracoles. A few hundred metres beyond the canyon, it is particularly imposing to the north. There is also an impressive view of the road beyond the canyon from here.

This road is closed to campers (with two-wheel drive), because it crosses the Cañadón Caracoles on loose gravel with curves and a steep gradient followed by a steep incline.
