From the saddle below you have a beautiful view of Tronador, but if you climb up this hill, views get even better. If you are traversing from refugio laguna negra to refugio lopez, you will have to come this way anyway.

Photography Tips

Tronador is right to the east, so get hear early in the morning for good light. I imagine it must be amazing to be here for sunrise.
We also saw a condor fly by pretty close! I was getting pretty close to fulfilling my dream of taking a photo of a condor flying in front of Tronador. Maybe next time ;-)

Travel Information

From the valley it's a long hike up here, I believe more than 14km. From the refugio laguna negra you can get up here pretty quickly, maybe 1,5 hours.
