Argentina Waterfalls at Laguna del Caminante hike, Tierra del Fuego

The hike to Laguna del Caminante is a remote alpine lagoon near Ushuaia, reached via one of the most challenging and rewarding hikes in southern Patagonia. The trail leads through dense lenga forests, vast peat bogs, and over exposed mountain passes, offering constantly changing landscapes and a true wilderness experience.

Like here in the picture you pass beautiful smaller waterfalls and lush green step mountain sections.

Check your clothes before and choose some colorful peaces if you place a person for scale. It is always a really nice contrast.

With a total distance of up to 25 km and demanding terrain, the hike is best suited for experienced trekkers and is often completed over two days with a campsite at the lagoon. Its untouched setting, dramatic scenery, and low visitor numbers make it a hidden gem for those seeking solitude at the end of the world.
