Austria Platzertal

Uniqe alp with many peat bogs and old silver mine,
Location heavily endangered by planned pumped storage power plant.
Pictures are taken around in different places of the valley. So this time I skip the exact photo locations and set the exact spot direct to the Platzeralm building.

Best overview and location pictures can be made at the old Miners house, as long as this industrial green battery project has not been approved.
When experience the nature walk along the river and when at height of the Miners house steep up pathless to the old silver mine place. For walking back to Platzeralm you can use the old Miners street and you will have a great overview along the way about the complete valley.

Drive to Landeck and continue to village Pfunds. Take the small and windy mountain road up to village Pfunds/Greit and to car park at Pfundser Tscheylücke. From here you can walk 2.5 h to Platzeralm or you take your mountain bike and cicle up to Platzer Alm about 600 hm, partly very steep. E-Bike recommanded.
