Austria Augustinian Church
The Augustinian Church in Vienna is a parish church located on Josefsplatz, next to the Hofburg, the winter palace of the Habsburg dynasty in Vienna. Originally built in the 14th century as the parish church of the imperial court of the Habsburgs, the harmonious Gothic interior was added in the 18th century.
Photography Tips
Most of the photos were taken with a Sony 16-35mm f/4.0 lens, but for close-ups I used the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8, and for even closer details, the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8. My advice is to explore the church from a distance and from inside, try out various angles and compositions, and look for details (there are many due to the nature of churches, such as doors, windows, and engravings on the walls and floor). Regardless of whether you’re religious or not, places of worship from almost every religion are an excellent way to learn photography, as they offer many perspectives and details that can only help you improve.
