Austria Plansee

Plansee is one of Austria’s most beautiful alpine lakes, located in the Tyrol region near the German border. Surrounded by mountains and forests, the lake is known for its crystal-clear turquoise water and stunning natural scenery.

For good water reflections at Plansee, go early in the morning when the water is very calm. Stand near the lake and try to include the mountains in your photo. Use a tripod if you have one to keep the picture sharp. Avoid windy weather because the water will have small waves and the reflection will not look clear. A wide-angle lens can help you capture more of the lake and the reflection.

To get to Plansee by car, drive to the town of Reutte in western Austria. From there, follow the signs to Plansee. The road goes through beautiful mountain scenery and is easy to drive. There are several parking areas near the lake, so you can stop and enjoy the views or start a walk around the water.
