Austria San Vito church, Fulmes, Stubaital
The Church of St. Vitus (Pfarrkirche St. Vitus) is one of Fulpmes' most recognizable landmarks, a charming Alpine village in Austria's Stubai Valley. Its distinctive onion-shaped church tower rises above the traditional Tyrolean houses, with the impressive mountain scenery providing a beautiful backdrop.
This perspective frames the church, surrounding rooftops, and sunlit foliage. Especially in the morning, the contrast between the illuminated leaves and the darker mountains makes this a lovely spot for atmospheric village photography.

Photography Tips
Mid-morning around 10 AM in September is ideal, when the sun rises above the surrounding mountains and illuminates the village. For other seasons, use an app to forecast when the sun will rise above the mountains.
Photographing slightly against the sunlight works especially well here. Backlit leaves become beautifully illuminated, creating a natural frame around the church tower and adding depth to the composition.
A standard zoom or short telephoto lens, around 24-70mm, is ideal for isolating the church and compressing the surrounding buildings against the mountain backdrop.
Try positioning yourself behind nearby trees and using their branches to frame the scene. Expose carefully to preserve the highlights in the sunlit leaves while keeping enough detail in the church and rooftops.
