The Wijngaardberg in Wezemaal, located in the Flemish Brabant region of Belgium.

The hill rises to 72 meters above sea level. It is one of the last untouched getuigenheuvels (witness hills) of the Hageland region, formed during the Tertiary period by the retreating Diestian Sea around 8 million years ago.

The hill is composed of iron-rich sandbanks that oxidized and hardened into iron sandstone, which was historically used in local construction, including churches and homes

Photography Tips

Golden Hour: Early morning or late afternoon for soft, warm light and long shadows.
Spring: Apple blossoms and fresh greenery.
Autumn: Vibrant foliage and misty mornings.
Winter: Frost on the vineyards and bare trees for dramatic contrast.
