The 'Grieving Parents' is a world-famous sculpture group designed by Käthe Kollwitz. The statues are located at the back of the cemetery. Her son Peter died at the beginning of WWI, his grave is at the foot of the artwork.

Photography Tips

Go early in the morning for beautiful light on both the statues. Be sure to bring an ND filter (long shutter speeds) to avoid other visitors being in your photo.
